Manchester United urged to sign Thomas Partey by club’s legend Paul Ince

The Red Devils great has asked his former side to go for the Ghanaian enforcer as the former Atlético Madrid man is set for an exit at the Emirates Stadium this summer

Manchester United Legend Paul Ince has urged his former side to sign Ghana international midfielder Thomas Partey, with the 30-year-old believed to be the ideal “legs” missing in midfield of the Old Trafford outfit.

The former UD Almeria loanee is on the verge of leaving the London side after being deemed as a surplus to requirements ahead of the upcoming football season.

With the imminent arrival of West Ham linchpin Declan Rice, Partey’s time with Arsenal will surely be up and could make a move elsewhere in this ongoing transfer window.

And now, given the uncertainty over the future of the Black Stars midfielder at the Emirates Stadium, the Manchester United great wants his former employers to reinforce their midfield department with his acquisition this summer.

“I look at Casemiro, [Bruno] Fernandes, Christian Eriksen, great players that they are, they’re still crying out for that one who’s got the legs,” “Basically, a younger version of Casemiro, which isn’t going to be cheap,” the retired footballer told Betway

“Obviously, there’s a lot of talk about Caicedo. I like Franck Kessie at Barcelona. He’s not getting enough game time. There’s also talk about Thomas Partey leaving Arsenal. You think about the first six months of the season, Partey was absolutely fantastic.”

“Jorginho came in and, for some reason, he stopped getting games. That’s when Arsenal started losing and drawing games. I’d be looking at someone like him or Kessie.”

Partey is reportedly eyeing a transfer move to Italian giants Juventus after informing Saudi Arabia Pro League admirers to shun his pursuit for the upcoming football term.

His contract with Arsenal will run out on June 30, 2025 and admirers must fork out 35 million euros to secure his signature per his transfermarkt valuation.

The Odumase Krobo-born midfield enforcer has so far been capped 43 times for Ghana at the senior national team level, the Black Stars with 13 goals to his name.
