BREAKING: Hearts Of Oak wins the race for Michael Ampadu.

Hearts Of Oak has completed the signing of right-back Michael Ampadu on a free transfer ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Ampadu will become the sixth signing of the Phobians. The versatile defender signed a two-year deal that runs till 2025 for Hearts Of Oak ahead of the new season with an option of a one-year extension.

Michael’s arrival bolsters the defensive capabilities and fills the position vacated by Samuel Inkoom, who didn’t extend his stay with the Accra-based side after contract expiry. Hearts Of Oak finished twelfth in the just concluded Betpawa Premier League season and was eliminated by Dreams FC in the quarter-finals of the MTN FA Cup.
The 25-year-old featured in fifteen games for Legon Cities last season.

Michael Ampadu who previously played for Legon Cities will join the team preseason in Phobiman as they prepare ahead of the upcoming season which will be played later in September.

Hearts Of Oak’s first match of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season will take place against Real Tamale United at the Alui Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale.
