American musical fantasy film The Little Mermaid, directed by Rob Marshall from a screenplay by David Magee was released in 2023. It was produced by Walt Disney Pictures, Lucamar Productions, and Marc Platt Productions and is a live-action version of Disney’s 1989 animated picture of the same name, which was based on Hans Christian Andersen’s 1837 fairy tale of the same name.
