PSG prepare big-money deals to bolster their attacking ranks

According to Le Parisien, the French club will spend 200 million euros to sign a winger and a centre-forward.

PSG’s summer window has seen plenty of departures, like Lionel Messi’s, but no official arrivals. PSG have not announced any signings so far this summer despite being immersed in the Kylian Mbappe saga.

While waiting to resolve the future of their star player, the club is also working on planning for next season.

In addition to the names of Milan Skriniar, Marco Asensio, Cher Ndour, Manuel Ugarte and Lucas Hernandez, all players who are being linked with the Parisian side and, according to reports in France, very close to making their arrival official, the club led by Nasser Al-Khelaifi has two other areas in its sights

Bernardo Silva and Kane

Specifically, and according to Le Parisien, PSG will spend 200 million euros to sign a winger and a centre-forward. One of those players, according to the French daily, could be Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva.

The player has a contract until 2025, but his future at the English club is not entirely clear. He himself admitted a few weeks ago that he does not know what will happen in the summer transfer window.

“I still don’t know about my future, I’m going to be very honest. We’ll see in the next few days,” he said at the press conference ahead of Portugal’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Bosnia in Lisbon.

As for the centre-forward position, the priority is Harry Kane. However, the future of the Tottenham striker, who was linked with Real Madrid earlier in the summer, now seems to be closer to Bayern Munich.

Should they be unable to sign the Spurs striker, Randal Kolo Muani, Marcus Rashford or Victor Osimhen are among the other names that PSG are considering.

Luis Enrique

On the other hand, PSG, for whom Christophe Galtier is still the coach, are also waiting to finalise next season’s coach. In the absence of official confirmation of the French coach’s departure, Luis Enrique seems to be the chosen one and is already designing his future team for next season.

The Spaniard spent 48 hours in Paris (Wednesday and Thursday) to finalise the details of his arrival after being chosen by Qatar to lead PSG’s project for the 2023/24 season.
