Asante Kotoko Sporting Club has announced the signing of the Berekum Chelsea forward, Kalo Quattara from Berekum Chelsea ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Quattara has become the fourth signing of the porcupine warriors. The workaholic striker signed a three-year deal that runs till 2026 for Asante Kotoko ahead of the new season.
Kalo’s arrival bolsters the attacking capabilities and fills the position vacated by Joseph Amoako who recently terminated his contract with Asante Kotoko.
Asante Kotoko finished fourth in the just concluded Betpawa Premier League season and was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the MTN FA Cup by Aduana Stars.
The 22-year-old scored seven goals in all competitions for Berekum Chelsea last season.
Kalo Quattara who previously played for Berekum Chelsea is already with the team in Beposo as they prepare ahead of the upcoming season which will be played later in September.
Asante Kotoko’s first match of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season will take place against league returnees Hearts of Lions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
