Abubakar Jamiu Thioumbianu from the West Natinga Bawku Electoral Area in the Upper East Region of Ghana is the young assemblyman in the area.

Information obtained directly from the 29-year-old indicated that he became an assemblyman for the first time when he was only 22 and in college.

After he graduated from the Bawku Presbyterian Nursing Training College, the gentleman ran for office again after his first victory in 2014 and got reelected in 2020.

Although he is still in his 20s, Abubakar Jamiu Thioumbianu has undertaken groundbreaking developmental projects to improve the state of living in his area. One among those projects is T-Bin an improvised bin to help solve the sanitation problem in Jamiu’s area. ‘

I have used the Kufour “gallon” and designed it so we could discard plastic waste in it. We’re working on getting tricycle to empty it on a regular basis, hoping that someday we will reduce plastic waste drastically in the area,’ he indicated.
