The Madina Job Center, under the auspices of the Member of Parliament for the Madina Constituency, Francis-Xavier Sosu (Esq.) has commenced the first cohort of its hairdressing and beautician training programme for free to reduce unemployment.
The Madina Job Center has opened another face to train new apprentices for free in the field of hairdressing, make up artist and others to help reduce the rate of unemployment in the Madina Municipality.
According to the CEO of the Madina Job Center, Mrs. Priscilla Naa Akler, the Madina Job Center is an initiative of Lawyer Francis Xavier Sosu Member of Parliament for the Madina Constituency. Under Sustainable Development Goals 1 and 8, this initiative is working to alleviate poverty by promoting decent work and economic growth in the Madina Constituency and beyond.
MJC aims at providing human-centric solutions to promote socio-economic development in the community.
She encouraged all beneficiaries to be diligent in learning and encouraged all guardians to work in partnership with trainers to develop the full potential of their wards.
The programme was implemented in partnership with 3 entrepreneurs, madam Naomi, hairdresser, madam Faustina, hairdresser, madam Kayla, make up artist.
Speaking on behalf of the MP, the spokesperson, Bansi Abubakar Abdul Hamid said the MP’s initiative towards tackling the issue of unemployment has been of great relieve to both young men, women, adolescent, among others in the constituency since he was elected as a lawmaker.
The initiative dubbed – madinajobcenter.com, launched in November 2020, he says has been taken shape and is thriving to the highest point of score, helping to employ the teeming youth in his constituency aiming to attain greater heights.
