Ghanaian afro-pop songstress Gyakie is making a huge name for herself and Ghana on the international market as she enters the Billboard charts for the second time in just one month.
The remix of her breakthrough hit single, “Forever” which features Nigeria’s Omah Lay, has made its way in Billboard’s Top Triller Global chart, placing 3rd.
She follows American rappers, Kamillion and Cardi B, who occupy the first and second positions respectively.
Gyakie, who is the daughter of legendary highlife veteran Nana Acheampong, celebrated this new feat on Instagram by thanking her loyal fans, known as Gyakie Chans, for supporting her music career.
“Forever Remix #3 Billboard Top Triller Global. Thank You @GyakieChans,” she wrote on Instagram.
In March this year, she debuted Billboard charts with her breakthrough single “Forever”, competing with global star Cardi B and others.
Gyakie entered the Top Triller Global chart at number 4 and dropped to 15, falling right behind Cardi B who had two slots on the chart with “WAP” and her latest “UP”.
