GES Sends Important Message To Teachers As Re-opening of Schools in Offing -[MUST CHECK OUT]

A piece of information available to us bares that the Ghana Education Service has sent an important message to teachers following the new curriculum introduced into the Ghana Education sector.

Citing their report, the Ghana Education Service (GES ) has set dates for the training of teachers at the Junior High Schools (JHS) on the implementation of the Common Core Program (CCP) Curriculum.

Duration

The GES in a letter dated December 29, 2020, to all regional education directorates, has indicated that the training is expected to take place from Monday, January 4, 2021, to Monday, January 11, 2021.

Venues

The GES said, that the venues for the district level training should be determined by the Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Education Directorates.

Submission of Names

The GES further indicated that each district should submit the names of all JHS teachers to their regional offices for collation and submission to schoolsandinstrcutions@ges.gov.gh.

COVID-19 Protocols

All regionals and district education directorates are expected to ensure strict adherence to COVID-19 Protocols during the training.

The government after meeting with the cabinet to decide when to re-open schools has not given the citizens update, but per this exercise taken by the Ghana Education Service presupposes schools could be re-opened anytime soon.
