FULFILL YOUR COCOA PENSION SCHEME PROMISES OR FACE OUR WRATH COCOA FARMERS TO GOVERNMENT
The Ghana National Cocoa Farmers Association (GNACOFA) are reminding the NPP government led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to fulfill the Cocoa Farmers Pension Scheme promises or face their wrath.
According to the Association President Nana Addo promised to introduce Cocoa Pension Scheme during the 2020 general elections to support Cocoa farmers in the country but about eight months ago nothing has been done about it.
In an interview with Agyenkwa fm’s Obofo Michael, the Association’s president Stevenson Anane Boateng said the president must pay attention to cocoa farmers since cocoa is the back bone of this country.
He stated that the Association has more than five hundred thousand (500,000) registered members with numerous challenges that needs to be addressed.
He therefore warned that if their challenges are not addressed expecially the pension scheme they will demonstrate against the government.
