The Friends of Dr. Kingsley Nyarko Fan club is a group of energetic, dynamic and zealous New Patriotic Party (NPP) enthusiasts in the Kwadaso Constituency whose commitment is towards aiding the NPP to break the eight (8) year jinx haunting and hunting political parties under Ghana’s Fourth Republic, and also, dedicated towards the development of the Party.
The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Thursday 24th January, 2020 appointed Hon. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto as the Minister Designate for Food and Agriculture.
Friends of Dr. Kingsley Nyarko are full of gratitude and adoration to the President of the Republic for finding the impeccable performance of Hon. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto satisfactory and worthy of continuation.
Hon. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, christened “The Legend”, was the Minister for Food and Agriculture under the first term of President Nana Akufo-Addo between 2017-2020. Some of his notable accomplishments as the substantive Minister include Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ), Planting for Exports and Rural Development (PERD), Agricultural Mechanization, Increase in the Number of Extension Officers Per Community, Equipment of Extension Officers with the Necessary Logistics such as Motorbikes, Wellington boots and others, Rearing for Food and Jobs (RFJ), Greenhouse Farming Technology, among others. Through his frantic and conscious efforts with the proper implementation of the aforementioned initiatives, Ghana attained an absolute level of food security which served as the backbone of the Free Senior High School (FSHS) policy, and also, the anchor against the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging most parts of the world. His brilliance and sterling ingenuity with regards to agric economics has also positioned Ghana as a food export hub in the West African sub-region.
Friends of Dr. Kingsley Nyarko, would in furtherance, congratulate Hon. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto for his appointment; a position well deserving per his unparalleled mastery and achievements in that sector.
