Pulse Ghana has compiled a list of five Ghanaian players who got married in 2020

Marriage is a sacred institution and it is expected to be a never-ending affair, till death separates the two parties.

A lot of people especially celebrities and sportsmen prefer to be in a relationship without necessarily undergoing a Christian, Islamic or traditional ceremony.

However, some few Ghanaian players took a bold decision to go before the altar in 2020.

Below is the full list:

William Opoku Mensah

Asante Kotoko striker William Opoku Mensah married his longtime girlfriend Rebecca Krah.

The striker wedded his beloved at a ceremony in Takoradi.

The colourful ceremony was attended by teammates, coaches, friends and family.

Mensah joined the Porcupine Warriors in the 2019-2020 season after a spell in the United States with Sporting Kansas City.

Former Kotoko & Hearts ace Emmanuel Osei Kuffour marries in US

Emmanuel Osei Kuffuor tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Gloria Fokuo in a ceremony held in Columbus, Ohio in the United States of America in August 2020.

On the occasion, Kumasi Asante Kotoko legend, Stephen Oduro played the best man role for Emmanuel Osei Kuffuor.

The pair played together in the past and are very good friends. Other past Kotoko teammates who graced the occasion include Nana Arhin Duah, Aziz Ansah, and Samad Oppong.

The player who became a household name in the Ghana Premier League during his playing days bowed out as a celebrated icon.

He won several league titles with Hearts of Oak and one with Asante Kotoko.

Osei Kuffour was a key member of the Hearts of Oak team that won the CAF Champions League in 2000, Super Cup in 2001, CAF Confederation Cup in 2004

Fafali Dumehasi

Fafali Dumehasi

The Police Ladies and Black Queens goalkeeper Fafali Dumehasi got married to her long-time boyfriend, Kingsley Blankson.

Dumehasi plays for the National Women’s League team Police Ladies and enlisted in the Ghana Police Service.

In January, she gained promotion as a Corporal in the service.

She was a member of the Black Queens squad that played in the 2018 Africa Women’s Championship.

Felix Annan

Felix Annan married his longtime girlfriend Francisca Adu Denteh Yeboah at a colorful ceremony in the Ahafo Region in January, 2020

The ceremony took place at Dormaa, with a huge attendance from family and friends, management members, technical team members, club administrators, as well as players of the Porcupine Warriors.

It is understood that they dated for about six years before they finally got married.

Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah tied the knot with his girlfriend Joyce Annan in September 2020

Attah and her girlfriend blessed their marriage in a low-key ceremony which was attended by only family members and close friends

The ceremony took place at Swedru in the Central Region of Ghana.

Richard Attah was widely regarded as the best goalkeeper in the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League, which was cancelled after matchday 15 as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Richard Attah is a former player of Elmina Sharks and he joined Hearts of Oak from the Central Region side.
